Showy Tick-trefoil, sometimes called Canada Tick-trefoil, is a 2' to 6' tall native perennial legume with purple pea-like flowers. The jointed seed pods are covered with tiny hooked hairs that adhere to fur or clothing to aid in seed dispersal. Showy Ticktrefoil prefers medium to moist soils and full sun sites. This plant is found in all the states east of the Rocky Mountains except for the Southeast. It is only rarely used in native plant gardens and is mostly used for wildlife food and cover, especially for ground nesting birds.
Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
